This Privacy Policy explains what information Avtar'lo ("we", "us", "the App") collects from you, how we use it, and the choices you have. By creating an account or using Avtar'lo, you agree to this policy.
Information we collect
When you register and use Avtar'lo, we collect:
- Account details: your name, email address, mobile number, and password (stored securely as a hashed value, never in plain text).
- Delivery details: your shipping address and PIN code, used to deliver items you buy.
- Wallet & order activity: your in-app wallet balance, bids, purchases, and order history.
- Payment information: when you add money to your wallet or pay online, your payment is processed directly by our payment partner, Cashfree Payments. We do not receive or store your card, UPI, or banking details — only the payment status and amount are recorded in your order history.
- Photos you upload: if you list an item or contact support with images, those photos are stored to display or resolve your request.
- Usage data: basic technical information such as device type and app usage, used to keep the App working reliably.
How we use your information
- To create and manage your account and wallet.
- To process bids, purchases, and orders, and to arrange delivery.
- To communicate with you about orders, offers, or support requests.
- To prevent fraud and keep the platform secure.
- To improve the App's features and performance.
Sharing of information
We do not sell your personal information. We share limited information only with trusted service providers who help us run Avtar'lo:
- Cashfree Payments — to process wallet top-ups and online payments.
- Shiprocket — to arrange and track delivery of your orders.
- Law enforcement or authorities, only when required by law.
Data security
We use industry-standard measures — including password hashing and encrypted connections (HTTPS) — to protect your information. No online service can guarantee absolute security, but we work to keep your data safe.
Data retention
We retain your account and order information for as long as your account is active, or as needed to comply with legal, accounting, or dispute-resolution requirements.
Your choices
- You can update your name, address, and contact details from your profile at any time.
- You can request deletion of your account and personal data by contacting us below — we will act on verified requests, subject to records we are legally required to keep (such as order and payment history).
Children's privacy
Avtar'lo is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
